EPA Completes First Five-Year Review of Gowanus Canal Superfund Site
US EPA Region 2 issued its first five-year review of the Gowanus Canal Superfund site in mid-June, 2025. The EPA inspects Superfund sites every five years to ensure that cleanup efforts remain fully protective of people’s health and the environment.
