EPA Response to Gowanus CAG Resolution Requesting a New Assessment of the Citizens MGP Site

Gowanus Canal Superfund Cleanup Community Update #2
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has completed the initial phase of dredging in the main channel of the Gowanus Canal north of the 3rd Street Bridge, removing about 35,000 cubic yards of contaminated material from the bed of the canal. EPA Issues Administrative Order Requiring New York City to Construct Sewage Retention Tanks for Gowanus Canal Superfund Site Cleanup
