The Gowanus Canal Community Advisory Group’s Land Use Committee will hold its July monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 8th, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., via Zoom. Please note that this meeting will take place on the second Tuesday of the month, rather than the usual first Tuesday, due to the timing of Independence Day.

– Follow up with Friends of Thomas Greene Park about the status of their letter to EPA & NYC Parks Department regarding Thomas Greene Park & the DD Pool.
– Follow up regarding DEC & DOH’S meeting regarding Parcel 3 (459 Smith Street) that took place last week.
– Discuss the recent announcement regarding 459 Smith (Parcel 3 of the former Citizens MGP Works site) – Fact Sheet here.
– Discuss recent NYSDEC response regarding Parcels 1 & 2 of the former Citizens MGP works site.
– Follow up regarding EPA’s Five-Year Review.
– Request a TCE Plume Study around 543 Union similar to the one being done near St. Mary’s Star of The Sea Church.
