SUMMARY:Public Engagement Meeting: Gowanus Canal “Owls Head” CSO Facility
DESCRIPTION:On February 10\, 2022\, at 7 p.m.\, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will host an  online public-engagement meeting about the development of the Gowanus Canal “Owls Head” combined-sewer overflow facility planned for 2nd Avenue and 6th Street in Brooklyn. \nDEP and the design team will provide a brief overview of the project goals and requirements\, and then facilitate a community workshop to hear from the public. The community’s feedback will inform the design of the City’s facilities\, as well as Big Reuse’s and the Gowanus Canal Conservancy’s facilities\, along with opportunities for public open space\, programming\, and ecosystem restoration. \nDEP encourages advance registration for this meeting.
