First Day of Dredging of Gowanus Canal Remedial Target Area 1
Contractors working on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency are expected to begin dredging Remedial Target Area 1 (RTA1), the upper portion of the Gowanus Canal, on Monday, November 16th, marking the start of the Superfund cleanup of the canal.
